It was impeccable. The service, the staff, the food, the drinks, the room. We loved the 20's Gatsby era theme running throughout right down to the lobby staff who were extremely welcoming and helpful on arrival. We had a table booked at Grand Pacific and arrived slightly later than planned at the hotel so we didn't have time to check in and asked if we could leave our bags in the lobby until we returned. They had already been placed in our room when we got back. A nice touch! The room was incredible and the bathroom was just out of this world. We loved all the unique monogrammed items, right down to the wash basin in the bathroom. We also attended the roof top bar and the views and service was great! In the evening we attended the Gatsby evening in the Gilt Lounge and I can't even begin to say how fabulous it was! It was our first experience at the Gotham and it definitely will not be our last. My favourite Manchester hotel! Thank you!

The decor and quirky furnishings, the minibar with proper crystal glasses, the White Company toiletries, the rooftop bar and restaurant / the views, the quality of everything, the fabulous staff, (all the ones that we met), the petit fours and Happy Anniversary piped in chocolate, (it was our 24th wedding anniversary)/ card , the breakfast cooked to order, (excellent), the lunch, the cocktails The most amazing hotel that we have ever stayed in, fully deserving of it's 5 stars. No pretensions, just absolute luxury, quality, and fabulous staff. Can't wait to return! Thank you for making our stay so special!

So we have stayed here before and we were that impressed we had to return. It didn’t disappoint on the second visit. This place has that touch of class about it. From the front door welcome to the booking in experience through to the bar and breakfast staff. Every member of the Gotham team brings something special. It’s also in a great location as we had a meal booked at Six By Nico and concert tickets at the AO Arena, both within walking distance. If you have not been you have to check out this hotel, we will definitely be returning a third time.

The hotel was incredibly expansive, bright and extremely professional, with the staff always willing to help with luggage or any queries. The room was clean, well-sized and comfortable, with a nice array of treats and furnishings to make the stay feel good value for money. The shower and bathroom facilities were also of a high standard. It was also a fantastic breakfast service with a varied and delicious selection. The hotel bar was also stylish and excellent for relaxing in during the evening.
